Preface-

Uttar Barepta College is established in the year 1991 in the East Side of Village Dhanbandha, Sonkuchi, District – Barpeta , Assam is Provincialised in August 2013. The college has got affiliated by the Gauhati University in the year 1997-98 initially taking with the subjects - Assamese , English, Education, Political Science, Economics, Arabic, and History up to the B.A. part-II standard for undergraduates course.

As a B.A. (degree) college, it is thus running well with different courses for above cited subjects, teaching by the qualified faculty members under separate departments.

The department of Education envisaged the teaching programmes of the subject Education that comprise the class teaching of different theory and practical courses, like Skill Education programmes , Extension activities, field trips, travels and Excursion library visits , Seminar group discussions , workshop, play-music and power point presentation in the departmental seminars statistical and psychological laboratory practical etc for the benefit of the students.

The faculty members for their academic excellence and efficiencies many times involves in the various short-term state and national levels, and UGC sponsored programmes. The faculty members are always deeply engaging with teaching , skilling , evaluation and study works.

Course Description :

Uttar Barpeta College, Dhanbandha has been offering 3 (three) years degree/undergraduate (Bachelor) courses in Arts stream as prescribed by the GU for only General/Regular and Major/honours where students are studying and getting B.A. degree in Educations subject within three year (six semester) courses.

Eligibility :

The candidates who passed the H.S. Examination or equivalent from any govt. recognised institutions/schools shall be eligible for admission in the B.A. Education course/ programmes.

The vision of the department of Education of Uttar Barpeta College is to uphold human value and social awareness through value based quality teaching with skill enhancement fostering unique capabilities among the students with vibrant knowledge as far as possible. Our mission is also to develop the Department of Education of Uttar Barpeta College to a quality department in the college by making the faculty excellent for teaching with modesty, good manners and participating teaching. The faculties will take part and involve in different programmes of field trip, travelling, workshop. Group discussion, seminar etc in this departmental activities,

After passing the B.A. with education the students will be enable to work in different productive fields as well as government services accordingly.
